Viewing recycle problem from a typical housewife. Housewives has different types :
- Living in a common HDB flats.
- Living in private properties.
Starting with living in a common HDB flat housewife, i may not be that educated so i do not really know about the importance of recycling.To me, whats important is to take care of my family and take care of the house. Everyday i have to clean the house and prepare meals for my family. Having my kids to wake up on time for school, make sure they do their homework. 24hours a day seems so little for me to do so much things, therefore i do not have the time to think about how to recycle. Even if i want to, its troublesome for me. As everyday there are too much trash, all different kind of rubbish. Its tough for me to sort all the trash out just to recycle them. And i do not know what kind of stuffs are suitable for recycling. I will only recycle old newspaper when the "garang guni" man (a man that buy unwanted and old stuffs for recycle/reuse) come by my house. Most of the house have individual big garbage bin where you throw your house rubbish. So it will be more convenient for myself to throw my rubbish from my house garbage bin instead of taking them all the way to the ground floor and search for recycle bins to discard them.
Another kind of housewife living in private property and may have a maid. Having a maid, you will most probably let her settle all the trash stuffs. and most of the maid do not have alot of knowledge regarding recycle. As im a housewife that lives comfortably in the house, the recycle problem doesnt really bother me, as i will always have the mentality that there will be other people to take care of this issue. And afterall, its not my business to care so much, and just rely on me will not make any big difference too. Even if i were taught about recycle knowledge, i may be too lazy to even do so much about it because it doesnt benefit me at all in a direct way.
