The couple that bring up Design History
Went to visit a few exhibitions at Singapore Art Science Museum last week. It was a fruitful experience at the museum, one of the exhibition i went was the Essential Eames, A Herman Miller Exhibition. This exhibition basically is about the most famous couple in design history, Charles and Ray Eames. The Exhibition traces the life and work of the husband-and-wife team who are credited the changing of 20th century sat down. This Exhibition featuring over 100 pieces of work of the Eames family collection. The timeless furniture creations of Charles and Ray Eames have provided the visual backdrop in homes and offices around the world for the better part of the last century. Yet their influence and innovation extends far beyond furniture, as their distinctive work in architecture, exhibition design, toy making, film and philosophy is prolific.
This Exhibition make me understand more about the design history and allow me to experience different kind of designs from the particular designers.

Marche

My favourite dining place
Today i'm going to introduce one of my favourite restaurant. Yes, Its Marche! Marche is formally from switzerland. What's so special about Marche i'm going to talk about? Of course being the most favourite restaurant of mine, the food in the restaurant must be really awesome! Another thing i love about Marche is they have an unique style which is "front cooking". Marche is a market concept restaurant, where everything you order is freshly cooked in front of you. Every customer is given a cash card, whenever you want to order something you have to swipe the card, so that its recorded into the bill at the end of the day. Besides that the food is awesome, the environment is comfortable with its swiss style. The whole restaurant is design in a swiss style, vintage, night market and wooden house feel. I love the interior of the restaurant! As it make me feel comfortable and allow me to experience different environment compared to the local restaurant. I like the concept that its a self-order service. Its a night-market style, yet you don't have the feeling of those common buffet. With the nice atmosphere, awesome food and acceptable price, i consider Marche as a worth-going restaurant. Below are pictures i took when i was at the vivo Marche branch, one of the biggest branch in singapore.
